Have you ever had an astrology reading that just blew your mind? I know astrology has that effect on people. But its no magic. Now let’s talk about houses. There are 12 houses in a birth chart if you check the image below you’ll notice I am pointing to each one of them. So each house represents a section of our lives e.g. H1 – is about You, H2 – Family you are born, H3 – Communication skills/siblings H4 – Family you’ll start H5 – New beginnings H6 – Daily routine, H7 – Relationships/Marriage, H8 - Sudden events, H9 – Travel/Higher education, H10 – Career/Public life, H11 – Money, H12 – Everything foreign.

Saturn in the 1st house

If you are this person there are two things that are easy to notice: 1. You are quite disciplined in life and 2. You don’t show your emotions too much.

Saturn in the 6th house

So I’ve met so many people with this placement. And the one thing I’ve seen to be common is their desire to contribute to the society. So they are either working in the hospitality/services sector or involved with social work.

Saturn in the 7th house

If you are this person - hold your horses, don’t be in a hurry to get married. You are going to extremely loyal in marriage and you deserve to be with someone really special. Venus in the 8th house

You may have difficult relationships early in life. And so what if some of them didn’t work out. Give it time, because when you find the right person it’ll all be worth the wait.

Venus in the 10th house

I don’t know what you do but if you are finding a right career for you then do something creative or take up a work that lets you express your creative side.

Venus in the 11th house

Money should be the least of your problems. Even if you are struggling with money right now. Be on a look out Venus’ time period and you’ll see your financial problems go away in no time.

Venus in the 12th house

There is a high possibility of you getting married to someone from a different country. So you haven't found the one - take a trip!

Ketu in the 7th house

So, give relationships a rest when you are in your 20s. Your life’s purpose is finding yourself and not getting married early and starting a family. Take it easy. If you are not feeling right about your relationship then don’t burden yourself.

Ketu in the 9th house

You really don’t believe in getting preached by someone. Well! no one does but you really really dislike being preached. But you have your own set of beliefs, which is a great thing.

Ketu in 10th house

The one thing that I don’t describe in the personality assessment on farfaraway is the conjunction of planets. By conjunction I mean two planets placed close to each other in the birth chart. Check out the image below – there is a Mercury, Jupiter conjunction, can you see? There is also a Moon & Venus, Venus & Rahu, and Moon and Rahu conjunction.

So conjunctions have an interesting impact, here are few of them

Mars and Venus

This is my favourite because these people never seem to age – they keep looking the same for many. They are also very passionate in romantic relationships.

Venus and Saturn

So if you have this combination. Don’t get married in a rush. Just take your time to find the right person. Also, you may be attracted to someone much older than you.

Sun and Mercury

I know how much you like to analyse things. But don’t burn yourself out with little details – take it easy.

Venus and Rahu

You may get to live the dream, you may go on a trip outside your country and meet your future spouse. You are quite likely to get married to someone from another culture or religion.

Sun and Mars

You are bundle of energy. You are extremely independent and focussed on self that teamwork is perhaps the last thing in your mind. This is a great for someone doing his/her own thing and not have a team to manage or a boss to report to.

The one thing about astrology that I’ve found to be most accurate is the planetary time periods. Here’s an article that describes them in detail. You can check out which time period are you running – use the image below for reference.

So I’ve seen a pattern with people running different time periods. Here’s a list:

Saturn’s time period

So if you are going through a difficult time and feeling the burden of your personal or professional life – you might be running the time period of Saturn. So look for Saturn in time period #3 and look for its end date – that’s when things will look up. Everyone goes through such cycles in life – it’s not a big deal, every difficult time follows up with a good time

Venus’ time period

Its time period comes right after Ketu’s so if you had a hard time in relationships or money. Venus’ job is to help you recover you from your setback. Also if you are looking to get married - this is the time. The time of marriage calculator takes this into consideration.

Jupiter’s time period

I’ve never had anyone write to me saying that he/she is going through a difficult time and that person was running the time period of Jupiter. Jupiter is perhaps the most giving planet. I’ve seen people travel a lot and learn different things during its time period.

Mercury’s time period

Its time period has many benefits but the one that stands out is its ability to create opportunities – so if you are looking to start a relationship, a job or a business. Mercury’s time period is really good for that.

Rahu’s time period

So anyone who has ever achieved something dramatic in life has done it in the time period of Rahu. Rahu’s time period can take you to heights you never thought you’ll reach – Muhammad Ali is a perfect example. But its’ time period can also make you do things the world regrets – Adolf Hitler.

Sun’s time period

This is your time to shine. Whatever you are doing during its time period you’ll be the center of attraction. The downside is that Sun is an egoistic planet so be careful of dealing with the government and authorities.

Mars’ time period

Make a wish and just wait for Mars’ time period. And chances are your wish will be granted. Mars doesn’t take time either. It’s most effective right at the beginning. So if you are waiting for things to shake up in your career, make your move during Mars’ time period.

Ketu’s time period

For a long time I use to dread its time period as it always caused a lot of drama in my life. But as I’ve come to know this planet I’ve started to realize it’s existence. Even though it detaches us from the house it sits in, it motivates us in a beautiful way to explore our true self.

Moon’s time period

People going through Moon's time period are often a bit confused. You'll get many opportunities in every aspect of life but you'll also have to make some tough choices. Moon's time period will test your mental strength.

Transits are interesting. If you checked out the time periods – you would have noticed that they last from anywhere between 15 days to 180 day. So for the longer time periods I use transits. The Daily horoscope calculator is based on this.

Sun’s transit in the 10th house

This is really good for your career. The career calculator takes this transit into account along with its time periods

Jupiter’s transit in 11th house

There is a high possibility of gains in business or a hike in salary.

Rahu’s transit in 11th house

This is an interesting transit - there is a possibility of windfall gains during this time

Rahu’s transit in the 7th house

Are you single? you are going to love this. There is every possibility of you meeting new people.

Ketu transit in the 7th house

This could be a tough transit if you are starting a relationship. Why don't focus on yourself during this and give relationships a rest?

Ketu transit in the 10th house

This transit can make you take those drastic steps in your career, so don't give up on your job/career during its transit.

Ketu transit in the 11th house

So be careful with your money during this transit. It goes without saying to not quit your job or make huge investments at this time

Saturn transit in the 7th house

The one thing I love about Saturn is that it is most loyal and committed planet of all planets. So Saturn's transit in the 7th house is a really transit good for you to get married.

Saturn transit in the 10th house

So be prepared to slog it out at work during this transit - don't worry there are rich rewards waiting at the end.

Jupiter in 1st house and Rahu in 3rd or 9th house

I can bet on my life that you are going to travel a lot in life. Just look out for the time periods of these three planets (include Ketu) and you’ll find yourself travelling. Don’t bother planning in advance, situations in life will push you to make a trip.

Saturn’s return

Since we are talking about transits I have to talk about Saturn’s return. Having gone through it personally, I do think it's an important time especially if Saturn is influencing your career or marriage. So anyone between the age of 27.5 years to 30 years will be going through Saturn’s return. And I’ve heard many cases of people having a difficult time during this phase but also finding their path in life at the end. So if you are looking to get married or settling down in your career - just wait till you turn 30. That's when Saturn return!
