Hasta Nakshatra

Hasta is one of the most auspicious sections of the sky, and you'll find that out very soon. As per mythology, it's ruled by Lord Savita, and this nakshatra falls entirely in the sign of Virgo. Lord Savita is known to have his arms wide open for anyone who seeks his blessings. That is how he's characterised.

The Gayatri Mantra, considered the most sacred mantra, is dedicated to Lord Savita. In the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna says that among mantras he represents the Gayatri Mantra, illustrating its divinity. The mantra is:

Om Bhur Bhuvah Swaha Tatsavitur Varenyam Bhargo Devasya Dhimahi Dhiyo Yo Nah Prachodayat

The word Savita refers to Lord Savita, ruler of this section of the sky. One translation is, ‘May we attain the excellent glory of Lord Savita so he may stimulate our prayers.’ Another is, ‘We choose the supreme light of the divine Sun. We aspire that it may impel our minds.’ The stimulation or impelling of the mind describes both Lord Savita and Hasta. He can purify the mind and intellect so that we think more logically, clearly and at an elevated level.

Sun in Hasta

With the Sun in Hasta, the person's leadership may inspire others. Lord Savita represents the period from dawn to dusk, while the Sun represents light and visibility; therefore, the person's work may shine through.

The example I had shared with you earlier was of Mahatma Gandhi. He was known for his work. His work shone through. Hasta is very strongly linked to honesty and Sun is all about nobility and consistency.

Together this can lead to the native being very reliable, very trustworthy. Mercury is exalted here and when Sun is here, together this can lead to the native being very intelligent. I think the intelligence is also likely to shine through in your character. Hasta falls entirely in the sign of Virgo and Virgo is directly linked to public service and Sun is belonging to the caste of a Kshatriya.

This can place the person in a leadership role in public service or business. Since Hasta belongs to the merchant caste, the business may carry a wider public message, causing people to see the native as both a business leader and a public leader.

Running a business based on ethics and inspiring people to follow your path is likely to be part of your journey. Sun is known to eradicate diseases and therefore this combination of Sun-Hasta can lead to a career in medicine, particularly if Moon's position, which is the Nakshatra ruler, also is suggesting a career in medicine. Altogether I find you to be not only self-made but an individual who might inspire others to also follow your path. You might stimulate others.

The person's self-made journey to a position of leadership may inspire others to follow the same path. I see no major downside to this placement and consider it very strong.
