Punarvasu Nakshatra

Punarvasu falls in the signs of Gemini and Cancer and, as per mythology, is ruled by Goddess Aditi. She is the mother of all the gods known to reside in the heavens. That is why this Nakshatra is the most maternal section of the sky.

Goddess Aditi provides food, shelter and protection. Healthcare, hospitality, housing and industries that protect society are therefore directly linked to Punarvasu. I would also add public transport: while travelling by bus, train or aeroplane, we can feel the comfort of home.

Airlines brand themselves as offering a home in the sky, with the same peace as your own living room. Trains convey a similar message. Many overnight trains offer a comfortable and cosy cabin for travelling from one part of the world to another. Public transport is directly linked to Punarvasu. The Indian Railways' slogan is “Lifeline of the Nation”.

Mars in Punarvasu

A Mars–Punarvasu person may express their maternal side by protecting others. A soldier on the battlefield can also be Mars–Punarvasu-like.

Earlier, I had taken the example of a philosopher protecting the society through one's philosophies, through one's ideas. In that person's case, Punarvasu fell in the sign of Gemini. And Gemini is to do with ideas. Protection becomes the main function.

In the IT sector, it can lead to cyber security. You are protecting your clients against fraud. You're protecting your clients against cyber attacks. Or in the finance sector, you're working as a risk manager, protecting your company from investing badly, thereby protecting the money of their customers.

Protection becomes the main theme of this position. Mars is very entrepreneurial, very innovative, and is not afraid to take chances. Business is a great option if you have Mars in Punarvasu. What's going to also happen is, even if you fail, there's some possibility that you might get another chance to redo things or do things better or start something else.

Learn your lesson from the first and do it better the second time around. Mars is known to be technically very sound. Here, the person can be involved on the technical side of these industries, like being a surgeon or an architect. The housing sector is linked to Punarvasu.
