Ashwini Nakshatra
This is the first Nakshatra and one of my favourites. As per mythology, it is ruled by the Ashwini Kumaras, whose mythology describes what this Nakshatra is all about.
Ashwini Kumaras respond to our help instantly. They have a high-speed vehicle, and they give the fruits of heaven to us immediately in an emergency.
In an emergency, we call an emergency number and receive assistance. The entire operation of responding to such calls—including the people who travel to help us—is linked to Ashwini. Rescue missions during a tsunami, war or earthquake are examples. We often hear stories of aircraft being allocated for such duties.
Mars in Ashwini
Courage and action
When Mars is in Ashwini, the person may help through physical assistance. After an accident, for example, we call an emergency number for an injured person. A first responder arrives immediately, tries to arrest bleeding and checks that the person is physically safe.
This includes ambulance drivers who reach the patient and provide oxygen. If someone is stuck in the hills or has fallen into a valley, another person may throw down a rope and pull them out. Mars is also a builder, so Mars in Ashwini can place the person on the construction side of healthcare.
The person may manufacture surgical instruments or build hospitals. Mars–Ashwini can also make the person adventurous and competitive, as competitiveness comes from both Mars and Ashwini. The person may excel in sports.
The person may move quickly on the physical plane, including in the manner of walking and talking. This may be visible when Mars is in the first house in Ashwini or when Mars, as ruler of the first house, is placed in Ashwini. In business, the person may work in a highly competitive field such as sports, horse riding or investment banking.
My understanding is that these investment banks are very competitive. The margins are small. The working style is cutthroat. Those businesses that require excessive competitiveness might be your background.
If Mars rules the 6th, 10th or 11th house and is in Ashwini, I think the person would largely remain selfless. However, the manner of helping may make the person appear self-serving. Because assistance is provided immediately, the recipient may suspect that the person has an agenda.
The intentions of a Mars–Ashwini native may be misread, leading to issues with authority figures. They may ask, ‘The help was planned for next month. Why have you gone there today?’ The issue is therefore the timing of the action.
Mars Ashwini would want things to be done immediately, problems to be solved immediately, assistance to be provided immediately. The intentions would largely be divine as the nature of Ashwini is such.
Thank you for your time.
