The healer who also trains

Ashwini Nakshatra

This is the first Nakshatra and one of my favourites. As per mythology, it is ruled by the Ashwini Kumaras, whose mythology describes what this Nakshatra is all about.

Ashwini Kumaras respond to our help instantly. They have a high-speed vehicle, and they give the fruits of heaven to us immediately in an emergency.

In an emergency, we call an emergency number and receive assistance. The entire operation of responding to such calls—including the people who travel to help us—is linked to Ashwini. Rescue missions during a tsunami, war or earthquake are examples. We often hear stories of aircraft being allocated for such duties.

Jupiter in Ashwini

Jupiter in Ashwini can make the person highly knowledgeable about health. This can include doctors, physicians, surgeons, health coaches, gym instructors, nutritionists and sports coaches, since coaching also involves protecting an athlete from injury. The person may be both knowledgeable and motivating. Ashwini is about winning, while Jupiter provides the abundance of knowledge behind that competitiveness.

If there are going to be issues when Jupiter is in Ashwini with authority figures, it's likely to be on a philosophical plane. The person is likely to be an adventure seeker. We come across stories of people who climbed that mountain without assistance. The person just went for it.

The person may travel alone to remote places for hiking or climbing. Jupiter in Ashwini is a beautiful combination in which the person provides an instant solution based on the knowledge they have been blessed with.

When we go to a hospital, a doctor may make an immediate decision: ‘I have seen the reports and physically examined the patient. These specific steps now have to be taken.’

In my view, Jupiter in Ashwini is the combination most closely linked to healthcare and the work of a doctor. Since Ashwini belongs to the merchant caste, the person may also train other healthcare workers as a business.

Jupiter is known for a divine temperament and selfless behavior and this Nakshatra is also about that. On the whole this is a very positive planetary combination if you do happen to have it in your chart.
