How to deal with a difficult time period

Introduction

The earlier lesson discussed the most difficult astrological periods and linked them to the Dasha table, particularly the periods of Rahu and Saturn. This article explains how you can deal with an upcoming difficult Dasha.

A number of people had gone through Rahu-Saturn's chapter and a variety of difficulties. Other individuals spoke about Dashas that were difficult for them, such as Ketu Mahadasha, Moon Mahadasha and Ketu Antardasha, Saturn and Rahu's entire chapter, or Ketu Mahadasha with Saturn Antardasha and Rahu Pratyantardasha.

Identify difficult periods

One theme is common across those comments: life is going to be a bit more challenging during a period of Saturn, Rahu or Ketu. How do you deal with that? First, identify when you might enter such a period in the future.

Use a dated example

Let's have a look at Mr Donald Trump's birth chart. He's going to enter Saturn's Pratyantardasha from 14 June 2026.

How do you manage it? How do you predict what might happen? My suggestion is that you look into the past and ask what happened previously.

Look back first

If you look at 2018, 2019 and 2020, he was going through Saturn's Antardasha. Specifically, at the end of 2020 he was going through Saturn Antardasha and Rahu Pratyantardasha. What happened at that time? He lost his presidency for the first time, and a lot of drama unfolded after he lost the election.

Similarly, I believe the upcoming Saturn chapter—please note that it is only Saturn Pratyantardasha and Rahu is not involved—is going to cause some concerns in his life.

If you have identified an approaching Mahadasha, Antardasha or Pratyantardasha—time phase one, two or three—of Saturn, Rahu or Ketu, look into the past and see what happened, then prepare for something similar. The intensity may not be the same and the reason for worry, anxiety or difficulty may differ, but the period might still present challenges.

Check the planet's placement

Secondly, analyse where these planets are placed in your chart. For example, if you are entering Rahu's period and Rahu occupies a career-related house, I believe there is every chance of career changes and uncertainty.

Take every piece of information into account: your past history of going through these Dashas and what transpired, and how these planets are placed in your chart.

Take the spectator's view

Once you know in advance you're going to go through a difficult Dasha, I think you can play the role of a spectator in your life. You can look at your life from a distance. You knew something was going to go wrong; now it is going wrong.

I'm hoping that with this knowledge you'll be able to cope a bit better. You might feel, okay, I already knew, so it's not a big surprise.

Prepare mentally

We all have to go through difficult chapters. No one's immune from that. But knowing in advance might help you prepare yourself mentally a bit better. So I'm hoping this methodology of looking into the past and predicting the future is useful.
