When should you consider marriage? Check for late-marriage combinations

When should you consider getting married? I think the starting point is to see whether your birth chart contains combinations linked to late marriage. The main planets I look at are Saturn, Mars, Rahu and Ketu.

For Saturn and Rahu, see whether either planet rules the marriage house in the main chart or Navamsha, aspects the marriage house, or is in conjunction with the ruler of the marriage house or Venus.

How Mars can contribute

With Mars, I would do a similar exercise. I do not think you need to worry too much about Mars simply ruling the marriage house. However, if Mars is placed in the marriage house, aspects it, or is in conjunction with the ruler of the 7th house or Venus, I would again treat that as a combination for late marriage.

What to check for Ketu

With Ketu, I mainly look at its placement and conjunctions. If Ketu is placed in the 7th house in either the main chart or Navamsha, or is in conjunction with the ruler of the 7th house or Venus, this again constitutes a late-marriage combination in my method.

Two practical responses

If you have discovered these combinations, you cannot change the planetary positions at the time of your birth. There are two practical things you can do: consider marrying later in life, and match birth charts.
