Uttara Phalguni Nakshatra

Uttara Phalguni falls in the sign of Leo and Virgo. It's a very interesting Nakshatra. It follows Purva Phalguni and it's directly linked to the fun and pleasure that we experience under Purva Phalguni, but in a different way. Lord Aryaman is the keeper of our contractual obligations arising from any union of any kind, whether it's marriage or a traditional Indian marriage.

The couple is required to take seven circles around the fire. That fire is symbolic of the presence of Lord Aryaman, who is witnessing the vows the couple are exchanging.
