Ardra Nakshatra
Ardra falls entirely in the sign of Gemini and it's ruled by Lord Rudra, who we popularly know as Lord Shiva. Lord Rudra is the lord of destruction, Rudra translates to the one who roars. We know life to be full of cycles, the world also moves in cycles. He's responsible for destroying the creation so a new cycle can begin.
Naturally, such responsibility demands destruction, pain, suffering, devastation, death, bloodshed, all such things are naturally linked to the Nakshatra of Ardra. Lord Rudra is known to be the mightiest of the mighty, he's even feared by the gods. He's known to put an end to all things evil in the society. Perhaps we cannot imagine in our state as human beings how can destruction be important or why is it important or what is the meaning of destruction. Everything has a silver lining, every cloud has a silver lining, even Covid led to some good initiatives. I think a lot of us started thinking of life differently so destruction is important for evolution, we must understand that. All natural disasters that we experience, we hear about are directly linked to Ardra such as cyclones, earthquakes, wildfires, very common.
I was watching news of wildfires in Canada changing living conditions in major cities on that coast in the United States. Pandemics are also, in my view, linked to Ardra, and so are wars. There are no winners in a war; there is only death, destruction, devastation and disruption to people's lives. Perhaps there is something good in that too, and I would link all such natural or man-made disasters to Ardra. After a disaster, a devastated place creates new ground for growth and a new civilisation. We hear stories of civilisations that flourished thousands of years ago in places where they no longer exist.
Venus in Ardra
Creativity and love
When Venus is in Ardra, the person is likely to be an explorer in one's personal life. The person may want to explore relationships. The person might be very attracted to people foreign to oneself, unlike in Mrigashira where the person is exploring relationships in search for that one person perfect for that person. In Ardra, the person is desiring to know more about different cultures and how different cultures express love.
The person can be a researcher in art, music, fashion or design, such as someone interested in how the design of a mobile phone has changed over the years. The person can also be a researcher in the finance industry, particularly if Venus is linked to a career-related house. Venus is a pleasure-seeking planet and Ardra has a darker side. In my view, the native is likely to misunderstand the happiness that can come from material possessions or love affairs.
The person may feel: ‘I expected to be happy once I achieved this, made this much money, bought that or entered a relationship with that person, but later I realised it was all wrong. I was deluded.’ The delusion is largely due to Rahu. The person can build castles in the air and be very expressive in love, only to realise that what was imagined and what was received are different.
This tamasic energy and Venus's energy can lead to such circumstances. The person is likely to love different cultures and languages and may be keen to learn about different sciences linked to natural disasters in particular. That is my view of Venus in Ardra.
