Bharani Nakshatra
Bharani falls entirely in Aries and, as per mythology, is ruled by Lord Yama. The mythology linked to Lord Yama describes what this section of the sky is all about. Lord Yama's primary duty is to receive us at the time of death, which conveys a state of transformation.
Lord Yama takes us to the realm of ancestors to decide our future. He holds us accountable for every good and bad karma and decides our future on that basis. We may feel that we can continue to tell lies and be part of deceptions because no one is watching us, but Lord Yama is.
As per Indian mythology, Lord Yama is feared and is also known as the lord of death. In this cosmic courtroom, he is helped by Chitragupta, a karmic accountant. Lord Yama carries a book recording everything we have done, and our future is decided on that. This conveys what Bharani is all about: the judiciary, law and justice.
Sun in Bharani
Leadership and spiritual inclination
When the Sun is in Bharani, the person can become the leader of an unconventional group. The Sun represents leadership, while Bharani is about doing things in ways never tried before. The person can lead a group doing something unprecedented and become an authority who decides other people's futures. Bharani is a fate-deciding section of the sky.
The person may be like a judge in the country's highest court, deciding a matter after it has passed through the lower courts. A Sun-Bharani person would have to take ownership of decisions affecting other people's lives and be held fully responsible for them.
The person may have the authority to bring about life-altering changes in other people's lives. A sense of pride may also be present, particularly in relation to creativity. The Sun symbolises that side of life, and Bharani is highly creative. Its fierceness may here be driven largely by the ego.
If someone hurts the person's ego, the person may become vindictive and think, ‘I have to get back and set things right. This is wrong.’ Political leaders with the Sun in Bharani can have that character. The Sun belongs to the Kshatriya, or warrior, caste. Sun in Bharani is a strong force, so the positions of the Sun, Venus as Bharani's ruler and Mars as sign ruler must be analysed carefully.
A complete study has to be done, but that is my broad opinion on the Sun's position in Bharani.
