In charge, and not taking orders

Ashwini Nakshatra

This is the first Nakshatra and one of my favourites. As per mythology, it is ruled by the Ashwini Kumaras, whose mythology describes what this Nakshatra is all about.

Ashwini Kumaras respond to our help instantly. They have a high-speed vehicle, and they give the fruits of heaven to us immediately in an emergency.

In an emergency, we call an emergency number and receive assistance. The entire operation of responding to such calls—including the people who travel to help us—is linked to Ashwini. Rescue missions during a tsunami, war or earthquake are examples. We often hear stories of aircraft being allocated for such duties.

Sun in Ashwini

When the Sun is in Ashwini, it is exalted and is known as the eradicator of diseases, burning away ailments. The Sun–Ashwini combination can therefore be formidable for healthcare workers, doctors, physicians and surgeons who provide immediate relief. The Sun also represents leadership.

The person would have the capability to be in charge, like a head of the department in a hospital. The person may find oneself in a position of authority and the person may have an ego tussle with other members in the team who are in a leader's position. The mythology of the Ashwini native not getting along with the ones having authority over the Ashwini native would play out in some ways. Sun has this extreme side.

The Sun does not accept authority. It represents consistency, while Ashwini is Kshipra. The person may therefore respond consistently to emergencies, as doctors do when they are assigned emergency duty between certain hours.

A Sun–Ashwini native may respond consistently to emergency calls and take great pride in helping people. Since Ashwini belongs to the merchant caste, the person may be a business leader in pharmaceuticals or another area of healthcare and may desire to make a name for themselves.

The intention, however, is largely going to be selfless given the nature of Ashwini and the person would be seen as a demigod of some kind. That is the capability the native might have if you have Sun in Ashwini.
