Wise, and not always open

Pushya Nakshatra

Pushya falls entirely in the sign of Cancer and, as per mythology, it is ruled by Lord Brihaspati.

Lord Brihaspati is the teacher of the gods, providing the guidance and direction that even the gods need. While researching Pushya, I was reminded of the opening phrases of the Bhagavad Gita, where Lord Krishna is described as the milker of its elixir. He extracts the milk of spiritual wisdom. Lord Brihaspati has a similar role: he extracts spiritual wisdom and imparts it to the gods, who in turn pass it to us.

Lord Brihaspati's primary duty is to pass divine knowledge and wisdom to the gods. A Pushya native can therefore be a teacher, mentor, guide, trainer or consultant. As per mythology, Lord Brihaspati guides Lord Indra, the king of the heavens. This may translate to the Pushya native being an adviser to a king, like the old and wise mentor whom a king consults in films set in ancient times.

Moon in Pushya

With the Moon in Pushya, you have the capability to think deeply and philosophically and may be seen as wise and mature. You are naturally likely to protect the people around you. If the Moon is linked to a career-related house, your future may lie in education, healthcare or a business in the milk sector.

Moon, as per some astrologers, is known to belong to the caste of a merchant. You'd have a great understanding of righteousness, truthfulness, justice, what is wrong, what is right. The only downside is that people might perceive that you come across as someone who knows a lot. You may not be very receptive to the opinions of others.

That might also come from your own deep thinking of a concept. Sometimes it happens that we understand something so deeply that if someone else has presented an opinion, we discard it. We feel, no, this person hasn't thought about things as deeply. And that is the only downside, and I'm referring to the Tamasic side of this Nakshatra.

I think Moon in Pushya is a strong position. Even if you may not be directly involved in social service or healthcare sector, you may indirectly be involved in some ways as it's the coming together of Moon and Saturn.
