Views that command respect

Magha Nakshatra

Magha falls in the initial 13 degrees 20 minutes of Leo and, as per mythology, is ruled by the ancestors. Before discussing them, I'd like to share my understanding of the related mythology. At the dissolution of the world, Lord Vishnu and the seven divine sages known as the Saptarishis remain.

When the universe collapses, Lord Vishnu and the Saptarishis are responsible for creating another universe. The lifespan of the universe is millions of years. The main focus here is the role played by the Saptarishis and Lord Vishnu. As per my understanding, Lord Vishnu is the same as the supreme entity we call God, while the Saptarishis bestow the knowledge and divine wisdom on which the universe exists. We can place the Vedas in the hands of the divine Saptarishis to explain this, and that does not necessarily make their teachings about right and wrong different from those of any other religion.

The idea is what is wrong and what is right is passed on by the divine sages, and on the basis of that principle, the universe builds itself. From Lord Vishnu is born Lord Brahma, the creator of the universe in one cycle, and from Lord Brahma are born the divine sages. Sage Atri is known to give birth to the planet Moon.

Mercury in Magha

Intellect and communication skills

When Mercury is in Magha, I think you'll attract attention for your opinions. Your views might command respect, like an opinion leader or a journalist. People follow what the journalist has written, or there's a news anchor. People look forward to what the news anchor has to say.

If the person says no, the government shouldn't have done it, others follow. That's a Mercury-Magha-like person. Storytelling here is now combined with authority. Like the person speaking in the parliament, the person is telling a story of the concerns the person has about their region, but the person is saying things in such a way that it's captivating and demands attention.

The ones working in public relations, the ones working even in advertising. Any profession which demands that your opinions are heard, I believe, are linked to Mercury in Magha. This combination can also lead to business leadership. Mercury represents the caste of a merchant, and Magha is all about royalty and positions of authority.

It's likely that you're running a business and carrying forward your family's name. Mercury represents our analytical and logical thinking, and this Nakshatra is very competitive. The person can be a strategic planner in a different way, different from Mercury in Ashlesha, where the intention is to encircle the opponent. Here the strategy is how to become more popular, how to expand one's influence.

Like a business venture takes on the aim of expanding to different regions. A domestic player becomes a national player. A Mercury-Magha-like person can be excellent at expanding the influence. Mercury is known to say things without carefully understanding the consequences, and therefore Mercury-Magha together can lead to the native getting into heated debates, particularly on the question of authority or influence.

Like two business leaders debating and saying, no, our products are better, or our services are more widespread. The social media sector is also a prime example where it's driven by the number of followers or the number of people retweeting your message, etc. That's a very Mercury-Magha like activity. People are trying to promote their views, and so you could be an influencer yourself, or you can be in that business of digital marketing, for example.

Your style of conversation will always carry a sense of pride. Perhaps the ancestral pride would be reflected in the way you say things. Not only ancestral pride, it can also be linked to your region or your country for that matter. People speak proudly that I come from that place. That's my view of Mercury-Magha.

Thank you for your time.
