Work behind the scenes

Hasta Nakshatra

Hasta is one of the most auspicious sections of the sky, and you'll find that out very soon. As per mythology, it's ruled by Lord Savita, and this nakshatra falls entirely in the sign of Virgo. Lord Savita is known to have his arms wide open for anyone who seeks his blessings. That is how he's characterised.

The Gayatri Mantra, considered the most sacred mantra, is dedicated to Lord Savita. In the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna says that among mantras he represents the Gayatri Mantra, illustrating its divinity. The mantra is:

Om Bhur Bhuvah Swaha Tatsavitur Varenyam Bhargo Devasya Dhimahi Dhiyo Yo Nah Prachodayat

The word Savita refers to Lord Savita, ruler of this section of the sky. One translation is, ‘May we attain the excellent glory of Lord Savita so he may stimulate our prayers.’ Another is, ‘We choose the supreme light of the divine Sun. We aspire that it may impel our minds.’ The stimulation or impelling of the mind describes both Lord Savita and Hasta. He can purify the mind and intellect so that we think more logically, clearly and at an elevated level.

Ketu in Hasta

Past

Ketu in Hasta can lead to the native seeking answers within. This nakshatra is a lot about spirituality, and Ketu is about isolation. Together, this can lead to the native being very driven towards spirituality, towards finding answers within. In pursuit of that, the native may go to the extreme, which might inspire people, but in the wrong way, like the monk who sold his Ferrari and started living in the mountains.

Although this may inspire others, it can also be impractical. The Bhagavad Gita says that one should not abandon one's duty, including duty towards family, so balance is necessary. This placement favours isolation and spirituality, but that path may not always be the right example for others.

You may inspire people in the wrong way. That's the point I'm trying to make. Ketu is known to bestow the native with piercing logic and with unparalleled technical skills linked to Hasta. Together, the person might be able to solve any complicated problem very easily.

This position is excellent for the ones building their career in the finance sector, where you look at complicated data and you're trying to predict what might happen in the future. A Ketu-in-Hasta individual can solve such problems. Data analytics, career in statistics, business intelligence, such fields of work, I believe the native is going to be excellent at. This is an interesting position, as Ketu detaches us from self-identity, whereas this Nakshatra is all about doing things by one's own self.

Two opposite tendencies are present. The person may prefer to work behind the scenes as a ghostwriter or director rather than as a performer.

The person may avoid being a public figure despite contributing to something public, which can be either positive or negative and may be a distinctive character trait. Despite the illusion associated with Rahu and Ketu, a Ketu–Hasta person can rise spiritually. In my view, anyone entering Ketu dasha with this placement should seek guidance on making spiritual progress.
