Elon Musk's birth chart: what's next?

Introduction

What lessons can we learn from Elon Musk’s birth chart? Could he one day become president? I will try to answer that. Why does he have businesses in the car industry, space sector and social-media industry? Why did he marry, divorce, remarry and divorce the same person?

We'll also try to dive into his personal life.

Gemini, Mercury and Punarvasu

Let us start with the 1st house, which describes the personality. In this case, it falls in Gemini, ruled by Mercury. Mercury symbolises intellect and occupies the 1st house in all three charts: the main chart, Navamsha and Dashamsha. This is the first sign that the individual is very intelligent. Mercury also falls in Punarvasu, a constellation linked to business owners.

This combination also appeared in Donald Trump's chart, where Venus was in Punarvasu and he had businesses before entering politics. Punarvasu is linked to healthcare, housing, hospitality and public transport and, by extension, the car industry. In my view, Mercury in Punarvasu explains Musk's entry into the car sector. He became the chief executive officer of Tesla Motors while going through Mercury's Antardasha within Mars's Mahadasha in 2008.

Punarvasu as a constellation is a very giving constellation. It's a sign of success. It's also a sign the individual can be a very lucky person. Not only is Mercury in the constellation, his rising is also Punarvasu. I must also add Punarvasu is a very loving constellation and therefore he could be a very kind, generous individual.

Jupiter in Anuradha

Punarvasu's planetary ruler is Jupiter, and this is where his chart becomes fascinating. Jupiter rules the career house and falls in Anuradha. This exact combination—a Gemini ascendant with Jupiter in Anuradha in the 6th house—also appears in Srinivasa Ramanujan's chart. A Jupiter–Anuradha-like individual can be a researcher who looks at problems from a higher, more philosophical perspective.

This combination belongs to researchers. Anuradha is strongly linked to Radhana Shakti, the power of devotion, so the person can apply knowledge over a long period, conduct research and find solutions to complicated problems. Jupiter also occupies Leo in both the Navamsha and Dashamsha, which is a sign of leadership based on a philosophical understanding of life. In his case, he applies this understanding to solving the day-to-day problems represented by the 6th house.

If it’s the car industry, he’s able to look at a problem more holistically and perhaps find a futuristic solution of some kind.

Sun, Mars and Mercury in engineering

Interestingly, the sign of Leo is ruled by Sun and Sun in this chart is in the constellation of Ardra. I have explained elsewhere that it's directly linked to electrical engineering. Let's have a look at this Mars's position as Mars is ruling the house linked to money and it's in the constellation of Dhanishtha. Mars is exalted in this constellation and this also is a sign of massive fame. I have maintained of all the constellations, Dhanishtha is linked to fame.

What kind of fame, and for what reason? It comes through this Martian quality, because Mars is directly linked to engineering. His technical and engineering skills are likely to make him famous, and Mars falls in the 8th house, the house of discovery. His scientific inventions may therefore make him popular. In the Navamsha and Dashamsha, Mars occupies signs ruled by Mercury. Mars and Mercury together are always a sign of a very intelligent individual.

A Mars-Mercury-like individual can solve complicated problems; someone who has a PhD in mathematics could have these combinations. Mars’s engineering skills are combined with Mercury, and Mercury is in Punarvasu, which is extending his technical skills to the business sector. This is a beautiful way of looking at how you combine your findings from the Navamsha and Dashamsha and see what’s happening in the individual’s life. We’ve seen technical skills, but they are to be applied in the business sector, particularly in the car industry.

Mercury incidentally is also ruling the career house in the Dashamsha. Of all the industries he’s involved in, I think the car industry is likely to be his main line of work.

Research and public service

Let me take you back to Jupiter’s position in Anuradha. I have explained that this position belongs to researchers, and that too the best kind of researchers. In his case, Anuradha’s ruler Saturn is in the constellation of Krittika. Saturn in Krittika belongs to government workers and public leaders. This is where I am beginning to see signs of his career moving in the direction of public service. Incidentally, Anuradha belongs to the Shudra caste, which is a caste belonging to public servants.

One thing is to see the potential in a person’s chart. Jupiter in Anuradha and Saturn in Krittika show his potential to become a leader, particularly a public leader.

The political forecast

But when could this materialise? His Jupiter Mahadasha is due to begin in late April 2030. His entry into politics, in my view, is not going to be short-lived. I think he is going to carry on.

By the next United States election at the end of 2028, if he were to contest and were elected president, he would take office in January 2029, very close to the beginning of Mars’s chapter. Mars’s Antardasha in his life, in my view, is going to bring massive fame in some manner. Thereafter, he will enter Jupiter’s Mahadasha. Ideally, if the election were at the end of 2029 and he took office in 2030, the timing might have been more suitable.

His chances of becoming president, should he choose that path, in my view are quite high. The best of Elon Musk, in my view, is yet to come, as Jupiter’s Mahadasha is due to begin only after April 2030. He is doing what he is doing under Rahu’s chapter, and prior to that, under Mars’s Mahadasha.

The two Tesla timings

He was at the beginning of Mars’s Mahadasha when he invested in Tesla Motors. When he entered the Mars-Mercury period, he became chief executive officer.

The Moon-period education date

If you go back in his life, the beginning of Moon’s Mahadasha was in the years 2004 and 2005. He was accepted for a PhD programme at that time, but he decided to pursue his business. Moon’s Mahadasha, in any case, is not directly linked to higher educational programmes. Moon is also not directly linked to the houses linked to higher education.

I believe at that time he was destined to do something else rather than study further. If you look at the houses linked to higher education, the eighth and ninth houses are linked by Saturn. The house linked to higher education is the ninth one, ruled by Saturn. Saturn is placed in the twelfth house, not only in the main chart but also in the Navamsha chart. This isn’t strengthening the house linked to higher education.

So I am not surprised that he did not continue his education, because the twelfth house can represent not accomplishing a task. If the ruler of the ninth house is in the twelfth house, there are two possibilities: you may not follow through with your plans, or you may study abroad because the twelfth house represents foreign lands.

The space-sector combination

Return to the Sun's position in Ardra, which I have linked directly to electrical engineering. Ardra's ruler, Rahu, is in Shravana, a Nakshatra I have associated with the space industry. The Sun in Ardra represents engineering skill, research ability and futuristic work, while the Sun's position describes the nature of the work. Rahu in Shravana in the 8th house links his career to the space sector and to doing something never done before, both themes associated with Rahu and the 8th house.

That explains his association with the space industry. Moon in his chart is in the constellation of Purva Phalguni, which I’d mentioned alongside Punarvasu being the rising constellation, is a sign of good luck.

Venus in Mrigashirsha and social media

Let me talk about this Venus's position in his chart, which in my view is one of the main reasons why he has forayed into the social media industry. Venus, incidentally, is also falling in the house linked to his career in the Dashamsha (D10) chart. A Venus Mrigashirsha-like industry is exactly what Twitter is all about. Saying things in just a few words, that's Mrigashirsha, and saying it with the intention of drawing attention, that's Venus. So Venus Mrigashirsha is also one of the prime reasons why he keeps posting his comments so recklessly at times on his social media platform.

This Venus position justifies his entry into the social-media industry. It happened right at the end of the Rahu-Mercury period in 2022. Right after he acquired Twitter, he started firing individuals left, right and centre. Almost half the employees who were working for Twitter were no longer employed. It happened right throughout Ketu’s Antardasha. That’s where I’m getting at: Ketu in his chart is in the constellation of Ashlesha, and this is the most worrying combination in his chart.

The Ketu character reading

A Ketu-Ashlesha-like individual can be very intelligent, but in a clever kind of a way. More importantly, the individual can become immune to the sufferings of others. The person may have a don’t-care attitude. In some cases, the native can also become very vindictive. I consider this Ketu-Ashlesha position very worrying. The greatest shortcoming the individual might have in one’s character, particularly when one is going through Ketu’s chapter, is that the person isn’t going to be straightforward and may also be highly secretive and extremely strategic in one’s thinking, in a clever kind of way.

In the Navamsha, Ketu falls in Capricorn, ruled by Saturn, while Saturn is in Krittika. This suggests that the Ketu-Ashlesha position is likely to play out in politics. Thankfully, he has already gone through this Ketu Antardasha, when he was in the process of firing all those individuals working for Twitter.

The dated Rahu-Venus forecast

He is now under Rahu and Venus’s time phase, and this is the time for him to shine, essentially, with his views. This, I’m very sure, is a time when he is going to draw a lot of attention towards him. This is also a time when he can start a new love affair. The last time he was under Venus’s chapter, in March 2010, he started a relationship with someone new, and that person became his wife.

Shortly thereafter, as he entered Rahu’s Mahadasha, he decided to divorce the person. But then, whilst he was in this Rahu Mahadasha, he again decided to remarry, and later again decided to move away from the person. This drama that unfolded in his personal life happened due to Rahu’s Mahadasha, in my view. I’ve always maintained Rahu brings a bit of drama in our life, and in his case, Rahu is in the fourth house, the house linked to his personal life, his private life.

Marriage rulers and separation

The other important lesson is that if an individual, particularly a man, is going through the Antardasha of the ruler of the marriage house, the probability of marriage is quite high. Venus rules the marriage house in his Navamsha, and he was going through Venus’s period when he married for the second time. When he married for the first time in 2000, he was under Saturn’s Antardasha, preceded by Jupiter’s Antardasha.

Jupiter is in the main chart, ruling the marriage house. In any case, he was in a long-term relationship the first time around. I think the second marriage was a bit more destined than the first one, in my view. If you analyse the main chart, the ruler of the marriage house, Jupiter, is twelve places away, which is an indication of separation from one’s partner. If the person is unable to control one’s mind, the individual can continue to go through the cycle of separation.

In another person's case, separation might be due to other reasons, like two individuals married, but they are living in different cities due to their work, and the temporary separation comes to an end. But if you let your mind wander, this combination, the seventh house ruler and the sixth, can lead to circumstances where you might even consider separating from your partner. But that's in the extreme scenario.

The partner profile

Another point is that Venus rules the marriage house in the Navamsha and occupies the twelfth house in the main chart, indicating that he may attract foreigners. Both of his ex-partners were foreign to him. He is South African, and the partners were from different countries. Secondly, he is likely to attract individuals who are going to be Venus-Mrigashirsha-like, perhaps artists. One of his ex-wives is an author and the other was an actress.
