Donald Trump Was Born to Lead: A Birth Chart Analysis
Introduction
I am going to be sharing some lessons we can learn from the birth chart of Donald Trump. We’ll try to find reasons why he is occupying a position akin to a king in society and commanding a large army. We’ll also try to find reasons behind why he was elected president for the first time, whether he was going through a good Dasha, and the same for the second time around. I’ll also do a comparative analysis between his chart and that of Kamala Harris. In two readings I had done just prior to the 2024 election results, I had maintained that Donald Trump’s chances of winning the election were much higher based on the chart’s potential and also on the Dashas.
Recorded on 31 December 2024—after the election but before the 20 January 2025 inauguration—the comparison is historical, not current. All his three marriages can be explained through the Dashas. We’ll also have a look at the Dashas to see if they made sense when he became a father. We’ll try to find reasons why he is such a showman. He has always been linked to the arts and entertainment sector, and as a president he is also some sort of a performer. We’ll ask why he was involved in the real-estate business. Perhaps the lesser-known fact about him is that he is an author and has many books under his name. Some might have involved another writer, but they go by his name. We’ll try to find reasons behind all these aspects.
Five Nakshatras and world leadership
Leadership
Whenever you’re looking at world leaders, I believe these five Nakshatras are directly linked to leadership roles, in the order of how these constellations occur, starting from the first to the last. Krittika, in my view, is a constellation directly linked to leadership. Incidentally, Kamala Harris has Jupiter ruling her career house in this constellation.
It is a sign of leadership, and probably the most important one is Magha. Donald Trump has his rising constellation and Mars’s position in Magha. Magha is directly linked to world leadership.
Third is Jyeshtha. Fourth is Vishakha. Jyeshtha and Vishakha have one thing in common. They are ruled by Lord Indra, and Lord Indra is known to be the king of the heavens. Vishakha incidentally is also ruled by Lord Agni, who is known to be the leader of the Vasus.
Lastly comes Uttara Ashadha. Uttara Ashadha is the coming together of all the gods to defeat the dark forces, and therefore this constellation is also about leading a large group of people, which translates to world leadership. If you have planets in your chart falling in these constellations, the more the better. The chances of world leadership become very high.
Magha, Mars, ancestors and leadership
Magha
Now let us have a look at Donald Trump’s chart. His rising constellation is Magha, and Mars is also placed in the first house in the same constellation. The first house is all about the person’s character, and he is a very Magha-like person.
Of all the constellations, Magha is directly linked to a royal throne. So it is not surprising that he had this aspiration to be in a position in society where he is akin to a king. This Mars position there is going to motivate him. He is going to be very unrelenting.
The constellation of Magha is ruled by the ancestors, and the ancestors, as per mythology, wished for prosperity on the earthly plane. So it is the ancestors who have arranged everything for him, in my view. The house linked to ancestors, the second house, is ruled by Mercury, and Mercury in his chart is in the eleventh house, the house of gains.
What I am telling you is that it is the ancestors who have come together to arrange this success for Donald Trump, in my view. It is not very surprising that he likes to carry forward his family’s name and has his family name run through businesses. He takes great pride in his family and his family’s name, and that is to do with this Magha influence.
That would also be seen in anyone else’s chart. If you have a strong Magha influence, you may also want to carry forward your family’s name and tradition. You want to be in a position where people respect your family name.
Magha is all about wanting to be in a position of a leader in society, but it is this Mars position in his chart that is going to drive him to do so. You may want certain things, but are you willing to fight? In the case of Donald Trump, he has been fighting for it all the way into his late seventies. I think it is a lot to do with this Mars position.
Everything comes back to this Mars position in Magha in the first house.
Moon and Ketu in Jyeshtha
Jyeshtha
So not only can the ancestors bestow a position of leadership on us, but so can Lord Indra. Lord Indra is known to be the king of the heavens, and in his chart he has Moon and Ketu in this constellation of Jyeshtha. Jyeshtha is ruled by Lord Indra.
It is my own personal theory that wherever Moon is placed in our chart, that position would explain to us why we were born again. At the end of life, we have an accumulation of certain qualities, whether they are sattvic, good qualities; rajasic, worldly qualities; or tamasic, dark qualities. Whichever quality we are more attached to, due to that attachment we are born again.
The point I am trying to make here is that your Moon’s position, Moon constellation position and Moon Nakshatra position can explain to us what exactly you are here in society to experience. In his case, Moon is in Jyeshtha, and Jyeshtha is all about leadership. So the mind is very attached to being in a position of a leader.
I was actually watching a short clip of him where he was walking with a group of people, his colleagues I assume. Somehow he was behind a few men, and when he realised that, he pushed himself to be in the front. This desire to be in front, to be the leader in society even in such small situations as walking in a group, is in my view due to this Moon’s position in the constellation of Jyeshtha.
You might wonder: Moon is in the fourth house, so it is not directly linked to one’s public life. If you study the Navamsha and Dashamsha charts, you would find Moon’s strong influence there. Moon is in the tenth house in the Navamsha chart and is ruling the tenth house in the Dashamsha chart. So Moon in Jyeshtha is having a direct influence on his public life.
Moon’s position in the fourth house is anyway an indication that he is going to be looking after his home community, in his case the United States of America. Ketu in Jyeshtha is an interesting position. In my view, due to one’s past-life struggles he has now reached this stage. The ancestors wished for prosperity on an earthly plane. Perhaps after many lives of struggle, due to that past accumulation represented by Ketu in Jyeshtha, he has now found himself in this position. That is my explanation.
Sun and Rahu in Mrigashira
Purpose
So let’s have a look at the tenth house. It has Sun’s position there in the constellation of Mrigashira. Rahu is also there in the same constellation, but Sun incidentally is ruling the first house. So the first-house ruler in the tenth house is an indication that the person’s life purpose is directly linked to one’s public life, one’s career.
When Sun is in Mrigashira, the person can be known for excessive pride. If you go as per mythology, the constellation of Mrigashira is the head of the lord of creation. The lord of creation himself is associated with pride. So when Sun is there, the person can be excessively proud of oneself.
With Rahu there in conjunction, the person can also misunderstand one’s own potential or represent oneself not entirely truthfully. With Rahu, you will always find that possibility. With Rahu there in Mrigashira, the person can be excessively ambitious.
Ambition of what kind? Mrigashira’s planetary ruler is Mars, and Mars is in Magha. A Mars-in-Magha-like person can be in a position in society where the person is leading a large army. The person could also be capable of going to the extremes with Rahu there. With Rahu in Mrigashira, the person can also lack contentment.
Venus and Saturn in Punarvasu
Punarvasu
Now let’s have a look at Venus and Saturn’s position. They fall in the constellation of Punarvasu. Let’s start with Venus. A Venus-in-Punarvasu person, in my view, is very loving. So far we’ve spoken a lot about Donald Trump’s aspiration and lack of contentment with life, but there is a strong loving side to him.
A Venus-in-Punarvasu-like individual is particularly loving when it falls in the sign of Cancer. Venus falls in the sign of Cancer in his chart, including in the Navamsha chart.
This is one of the main reasons why, in my view, he is a very loving person and perhaps for that reason shares a very loving relationship with his family. I have seen that when he is shaking hands with individuals whom he does not consider his enemies. He is a very loving person, and a very kind and generous person, in this chart interpretation.
A Venus-in-Punarvasu-like person can be in the limelight for one’s generosity. Saturn in the same constellation is an indication of his loyalty. That loyalty aspect is also linked to the constellation of Magha.
It is this Venus position that has attracted people towards him, in my view. People may feel that he is excessively ambitious, but they do see this loving side. That is one of the main reasons why, in the source’s astrological explanation, he was elected for the second time.
The constellation of Punarvasu is ruled by Goddess Aditi. As per mythology, Goddess Aditi is known to give us second chances in life. Punarvasu as a constellation is very giving. The mother is always ready to give one’s child another chance. That is the entire mythology behind Punarvasu.
The 2024 Kamala Harris comparison
Election
You may find it very interesting: around mid-September this year, 2024. I was still recording this in that current year. He had just begun his Venus’s Antardasha. It was Jupiter’s Mahadasha and Venus’s Antardasha. This was one of the main reasons why I felt he was going to win again. Punarvasu is directly linked to second chances.
If you study the birth chart of Kamala Harris, in her case I find combinations of leadership. Jupiter in her chart is in the constellation of Krittika. But apart from that, I don’t see enough indications of world leadership. Apart from Krittika, none of the other constellations are directly linked to leadership on a material plane.
She has a Mars position, which is very important, in the constellation of Ashlesha. I don’t find Mars in Ashlesha to be a strong position. The reason why I bring up Mars is for two reasons. Mars is ruling the eleventh house, linked to material gains. A Mars-in-Ashlesha-like person can make an excellent lawyer; she was a prosecutor before she entered politics.
The second reason is that from the beginning of December 2024 she would be entering Mars’s Pratyantardasha. I did not see that a person who would win the election and find oneself in a leader’s position in society, and that too on such a large scale, would do so under a Mars-in-Ashlesha Dasha.
If you compare that with Donald Trump’s Dashas, he would be going through Venus’s Antardasha, Venus in Punarvasu, by the time he took office. If Kamala Harris had taken office, she would have been under Mars in Ashlesha. If you compare a Venus-in-Punarvasu Dasha and a Mars-in-Ashlesha Dasha, I would always back the person going through the Venus-in-Punarvasu Dasha.
Venus is known to be a natural benefic. It is also known to bring material gains into our life. Punarvasu as a constellation is ruled by Jupiter, and Jupiter is also known to bring material gain into our life. He was also going through Jupiter’s Mahadasha.
In the case of Kamala Harris, Rahu’s Mahadasha was all right. I wouldn’t say Rahu is as strongly linked to leadership as Jupiter is. Venus’s Antardasha was all right. Venus in her chart is in the constellation of Purva Phalguni, which is a sign that she was going through good luck. From 30 December 2024, she would be entering Mars’s Pratyantardasha. I did not see a person occupying high office when going through a Mars-in-Ashlesha Dasha.
That was my main reason why I would back Donald Trump, just on the basis of astrology. I don’t have any preference for either one of them.
Jupiter Mahadasha and the showman theme
Jupiter
Right at the beginning, when Donald Trump entered Jupiter’s Mahadasha, that was the time when he was elected president for the first time. I have repeatedly mentioned, whenever I talk about Dashas, that it is Jupiter’s Dasha which can lead to you being recognised in society, whether as a top performer or through a high-ranking position, as in the case of Donald Trump.
So where is Jupiter placed in his chart? Once again, it is placed in the second house, the house linked to his ancestors. The second-house ruler, Mercury, is in the eleventh house, the house of gains.
Jupiter in Chitra is one of the main reasons why I think he is a bit of a showman. I was going through his background, and he has had a past in television. So there are gains through the ancestors, the second-house ruler in the eleventh, and gains again through Jupiter in the second house.
And as soon as he entered this Jupiter’s Mahadasha, he became the president. Chitra’s ruler is Mars. Everything comes back to Mars’s position in the first house in Magha. This is where his competitiveness comes from.
Mercury in Ardra: speaking, writing and books
Mercury
Mercury in the eleventh house in the constellation of Ardra is an indication that he has a lot to say. He has said so even when he wasn’t given a public platform, when he wasn’t president. He has been saying what he had to say through books that he has been writing.
His highest-selling book is The Art of the Deal. ‘I am sure these books were ghost-written,’ the source says, but his name was attached to them. That book was published in the year 1987, and at that time he was going through Mercury’s Antardasha.
I had mentioned this in the birth-chart reading of Taylor Swift. She wrote all the songs in the album she published when she was going through Mercury’s chapter. The point I am trying to make here is that writing is directly linked to Mercury.
Whenever a person is going through Mercury’s chapter, you might express that side. And that doesn’t mean writing only is linked to Mercury. There are various associations; the related reading below explains which planet represents what quality.
Three marriages and the Rahu-Saturn pattern
Marriage
Let’s have a look at the marriages that he has had. The first one was in April 1977. At that time, he was going through Sun and, more importantly, Rahu’s Antardasha. I have always maintained that if you have to predict your time of marriage, you must start with the ruler of the house of marriage. In his case, the marriage house is ruled by Saturn and Rahu.
He married under Rahu’s Antardasha after he had turned thirty. Why after thirty? Saturn ruling the marriage house is an indication of late marriage. So the first time he entered a favourable time in 1977 under Rahu’s chapter, he was married.
The second time he was married was not under Rahu’s or Saturn’s chapter. It was under Jupiter’s time phase, and he married while he was expecting a child. The child was born under Jupiter’s chapter. The source uses the Rahu chapter prior to that to explain why his personal life was active. With Rahu, it says, there is every possibility that a person may not conform to societal norms and may succumb to desire. That is my astrological interpretation, not an independent account of private motive.
The source suggests that might have been why he was in a relationship and then married that person under Jupiter. Jupiter in his chart is ruling the fifth house, directly linked to fatherhood in his case. So under Jupiter’s time phase, one of his children was born.
Let’s have a look at the third marriage. That was in 2005. At that time, he was going through Rahu’s Mahadasha and Saturn’s Antardasha. In all three marriages, he was either under the influence of Rahu or Saturn. The Antardashas are more important. The Antardasha was either of Rahu or Saturn, and Rahu and Saturn are ruling the marriage house. In the second marriage, it was close to the Antardasha of Rahu when he was in a relationship with a person with whom he had a child.
Jupiter, Venus and fatherhood timing
Fatherhood
Similarly, I looked at all the children that he has fathered, and three of them were born under the Dasha of either Jupiter or Venus. Jupiter is ruling the fifth house in the main chart, linked to fatherhood, and Venus is ruling the fifth house in the Navamsha chart.
The other two were unlinked. Obviously, their mothers’ birth details also have to be analysed before drawing a conclusion.
The lesson here is that if you’re going through the Dasha of the ruler of the fifth house, either in the main chart or in the Navamsha, and if the ruler of the fifth happens to be Jupiter or Venus, the chances of you becoming a father or a mother are very high. That is the lesson there.
The July 2024 assassination attempt
Ketu
Let me come back to the original agenda. The assassination attempt is one item not yet covered. When we look at hidden enemies in our life, among the planets that is Ketu. At the time, in mid-July 2024 when that attempt was made on his life, he was going through Ketu’s Antardasha.
That is my explanation for it. Why wasn’t an assassination attempt made when he was going through a more favourable Jupiter-and-Venus period? Why under Ketu’s chapter? This remains the source’s astrological interpretation of the timing.
If you’re going through Ketu’s chapter, the lesson here is that it is a time when unusual events beyond your control might happen, depending on where Ketu is placed in your chart. You just have to ready yourself for different situations based on the Dasha you’re going through.
Lessons from the chart
Lessons
So reading his chart was very interesting because a lot can be explained just by a cursory glance at his chart.
And hopefully the lessons I’ve shared from his chart might help you read your chart better.
Thank you for your time.
