Correct Way to Match Horoscopes: Three Questions

Correct Way to Match Horoscopes: Three Questions

Introduction

Three key questions you can answer to arrive at a conclusion if the person is right for you or not. The first is, is the person as seen from the chart? Does the person match the professional background and personality traits as identified from your chart? So that's a good starting point. Secondly, does the time of marriage match? This is very, very important. So you might have found the person who matches the description based on your chart, but if the time of marriage is incompatible, that can be an issue area.

So time of marriage is going to be important. And lastly, are you compatible? So I'm going to take the birth charts of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry to answer these three questions. So it's not just theory I'm going to share with you, we are going to take a practical example to see how it applies in their lives.

Meghan Markle's marriage house

Meghan

So let's have a look at their charts. Meghan Markle firstly, Ketu in the house of marriage is a strong indicator of complications in the process of getting married. But Jupiter in the third house, in Hasta, is aspecting the marriage house and that is a sign of hope. So her life story has been this. She was married early and she got divorced. The source dates her marriage to August 2011, while public reporting places the Jamaican ceremony on 10 September 2011.

Both reported timings calculate to Rahu Mahadasha and Venus Antardasha, more precisely Rahu-Venus-Mercury. The timing method specifically mentions Rahu and Venus's chapter. It's a chapter very promising for marriage. It is promising if you don't have other malefics in the house of marriage such as Saturn, Ketu, Mars or even Rahu. So she does have Ketu there. So that time phase did result in a marriage but not a long lasting one. So that time when she was married, that can be explained through the dasha table and that's the point I'm trying to highlight.

Jupiter Mahadasha and the second marriage

Jupiter

Her fortunes changed when she entered Jupiter Mahadasha around 13 August 2015. Less than a year later, she met Prince Harry and when she entered the Antardasha of Saturn, the ruler of the marriage house in both the main chart and the Navamsha, she married. It fits the method perfectly. In the methodology I shared earlier, how to determine time of marriage, I had mentioned if a person is going through the Antardasha specifically of the ruler of the house of marriage, the probability of marriage becomes very high.

So after a bit of struggle, Ketu in the house of marriage, Mars from the 12th house is also aspecting the marriage house, she eventually settled down. This incidentally she shares with Kamala Harris too. She also has Ketu in the house of marriage. She married Douglas Emhoff at age 49; neither the chart nor that chronology tells anyone when they should marry. So the point I want to make here is that the time she married Prince Harry was a good time astrologically speaking.

Prince Harry's marriage timing

Harry

Let's do the same for Prince Harry now. He has Mars also aspecting the marriage house from the 12th house and I see further complications as the selected mean-node Navamsha places Saturn and Rahu there. True-node Rahu changes Navamsha, so Saturn is the robust placement. Prince Harry's public romantic history included a long on-and-off relationship with Zimbabwe-born Chelsy Davy and later relationships. He married during Rahu Mahadasha and Ketu Antardasha, almost five months before Venus Antardasha began. The point I want to make here is since he was about to enter Venus's chapter, the time of marriage is making sense.

If you look at his chart, his partner is going to be Mercury-like and Jupiter-like. Mercury is ruling the marriage house in the main chart and Jupiter is ruling it in the Navamsa chart. Both these planets are in Nakshatras ruled by Ketu which increases the possibility of marriage under Ketu's chapter which otherwise isn't the case. Ketu's chapter is not a time phase when marriage is highly probable unless Ketu has a direct relationship with the marriage house which it does.

But mainly I see that he was about to enter Venus's chapter which was going to be a phase where he experienced companionship. From his perspective too I think the time of marriage was okay.

The two timing windows

Timing

It was much better for Meghan Markle and from his perspective it was okay which is good enough. You're not going to find the exact date matching but broadly speaking since he was about to enter Venus's chapter she was already under the Antardasha of the ruler of the marriage house. I would give a tick mark to the question did the time of marriage match? It did.

Meghan's Punarvasu and Hasta profile

Character

Let's have a look at the person they were meant to attract. Well let's talk about the person itself. Meghan Markle, there's a lot to like about her. Her rising constellation is Punarvasu, her Moon, Jupiter and Saturn in the constellation of Hasta. I regard Punarvasu native and Hasta native very highly. There's a lot to like about them. They're also likely to find themselves on the right side of things. They're morally and ethically highly principled. Yes, she does have Sun in the first house in Ashlesha which can add a different dimension to a personality different from what I've described earlier but she is a very likeable person.

That's the point I want to highlight.

The Saturn-Moon partner profile

Partner

Her partner now. Do I see signs she might marry royalty? I don't actually. She's going to be with a person who's very Saturn-like and Moon-like. Saturn is the ruler of the marriage house and both charts in her case and Moon is the Darakaraka. And both of them are found in the constellation of Hasta. This is a sign that her partner can be an entrepreneur, particularly working in the healthcare industry. I've seen what Prince Harry is up to these days and BetterUp currently lists him as Chief Impact Officer.

So he's involved now in mental health related initiatives. Her chart is suggesting her partner having a background in the domain of mental health and the partner can be an entrepreneur. Hasta is not linked to royalty but Hasta is about self-dependency. He and Meghan stepped back as working members of the Royal Family, but he remains the Duke of Sussex and retains his official titles. He has also become a business person in the source's comparison. BetterUp describes coaching and mental wellness, not clinical healthcare.

Harry's Mercury-Jupiter partner profile

Profile

If I go back to Prince Harry's chart now, the ruler of the marriage house is going to determine who his partner is going to be. And that is Mercury and Jupiter in the main chart and the Navamsha. Jupiter incidentally is also the Darakaraka. Mercury in Magha is an indication that his partner is likely to be a public communicator of some kind or a television host or perhaps even involved in the media and entertainment sector as Mercury in Magha is all about that.

That is also making sense, isn't it? Jupiter Mula is an indication that his partner can also be involved in philanthropy. She and Harry created the nonprofit Archewell Foundation, whose charitable work is now described through Archewell Philanthropies. That fits the broad profile without claiming she started many separate nonprofits.

The age-gap reading

Age

The other question that might occur to you is what about the age gap? If you go back to Meghan Markle's chart, she has Saturn and Moon in the constellation of Hasta. Her partner is going to be very Moon-like as Hasta's ruler is also Moon. Moon in her chart is sitting in its own constellation and that's of Hasta. And Hasta is directly linked to youthfulness. Moon-Hasta, mainly Hasta related youthfulness is my explanation why she has a partner who is younger than her.

Meghan is just over three years older than Harry, not significantly older in ordinary usage. And if you go back to Prince Harry's chart, he is meant to be with a very Jupiter-like person. So if your partner is either Saturn mainly or Jupiter after Saturn, you could attract a partner who is older than you. The placements cannot determine a spouse's age. So that explains the age gap. There's something interesting there too. She was meant to attract a very Saturn-like person.

And theoretically speaking, a Saturn-like individual isn't known to dress very formally. And a Saturn-like person can fashion a beard, which Prince Harry does, which is unique to Prince Harry. I contrast that beard with the clean-shaven royal men I had in mind.

Whether the person fits

Person

So does the chart suggest that the person they were meant to be with, they've managed to marry that person? I think yes. Prince Harry's chart suggests his partner can be from the media, arts and entertainment sector, which she is. Her chart is suggesting her partner can be involved in philanthropy, particularly linked to mental health. And he has been actively involved in that. Prince Harry's chart is also quite strong. Jupiter is positioned in his first house, which is a sign of someone who is very philosophically minded.

And an educator, perhaps even a motivator. Moon and mean Rahu in his selected chart are in Krittika; the node placement is convention-sensitive. This combination belongs to educators and motivators. And his involvement in this commercial venture, BetterUp, is directly linked to educating and motivating people, which fits perfectly. So the first question, does the chart match the person? Yes, it does. Does the time of marriage match? Yes, it does too.

What Guna Milap measures

Guna

Are they compatible? I'm going to use two methods there. Guna Milap, you can check out the free Far Far Away's Match Calculator. Guna Milap is taking into account the Moon's positions in the two people's chart, which is great. I think Moon is a very important planet. But there's also a limitation there. It's only taking the position of Moon. It's not taking the entire chart into account. Also not the time of marriage, for example. So it takes into account the Moon Nakshatras, the Moon signs, and the Moon sign rulers.

It's a very comprehensive analysis. There are eight sections to it, and you can find information there. I do see some signs of incompatibility in their charts.

Graha Dosha signals

Dosha

Particularly graha dosha, which is to do with their Moon sign rulers not being very friendly. In the case of Prince Harry, his Moon is in the sign of Aries, ruled by Mars. In the case of Meghan Markle, I find Moon in Hasta, which falls in the sign of Virgo, ruled by Mercury. So Mars and Mercury, the Moon sign rulers, are not very friendly. And therefore you see a graha dosha. Generally, too, Krittika and Hasta can have some disagreements.

I read this as disagreement potential, but a chart cannot establish whether the couple privately argues. But the Nakshatra rulers, Prince Harry's Moon falls in Krittika, ruled by Sun. And Meghan Markle's Moon constellation is Hasta, ruled by Moon. Sun and Moon have a friendly relationship. So I don't think the arguments are going to be blown out of proportion. They are going to largely remain very small in nature. So this is how you can analyse the strengths and weaknesses of the relationship. A chart cannot establish private arguments.

Superimposing the two charts

Synastry

The next thing you can do is superimpose each other's chart. So here, in the calculator, you can do it both ways. How his planets have an impact on her, or the other way around. So if I study synastry chart, you can find information there. You can arrive at a qualitative and a quantitative analysis of how compatible you are. Basically arriving at strengths and weaknesses. I just want to share a few combinations. I think Mercury and Venus's synastry that I see in the chart is a sign of a great friendship.

I also see this cluster that Meghan has of Moon, Saturn and Jupiter in Hasta. It falls over the career house of Prince Harry. I interpret this as Prince Harry seeking her guidance as far as career is concerned, but a chart cannot establish their private decision-making.

Marriage, joint work and career change

Career

They have been starting ventures together, which is seen from the birth chart of Prince Harry. The marriage house and the career house are jointly ruled by Mercury in his chart. That's a sign he can partner with his life partner to run a business. Incidentally, Mercury is ruling his career house. And it's in the 12th house from the 10th house, which would be the 9th house. Which can even lead to the person having a career change or something more drastic.

As Mercury is in Magha, and Magha is all about royalty. The source connects this combination with him stepping away from work as a senior royal. It does not mean that he stopped being royal. I want to share another example. In the birth chart of Princess Diana, I also found something similar. The ruler of the 10th house was in the 8th house. So in the 9th house it's detachment, but in the 8th house it's tumultuous journey as far as career is concerned.

Particularly in her case, Sun falls in the constellation of Ardra. Which is also about having this tumultuous journey, which she unfortunately had. Diana's selected chart has a competing birth-time report.

The three-question conclusion

Three

So the source answers yes, yes and yes to all three questions. The person matches, the time of marriage seems to be okay, and the method finds good compatibility. That was my assessment on 12 August 2025, not an objective verdict on a living couple.

A common difficult time

Bonus

One bonus question you can answer for yourself is, are the two of you going to go through a difficult time together? I'll give you a practical example. If a person has Mars in the 4th house. Naturally from the 4th house, Mars is aspecting the marriage house. And the partner has Saturn ruling the marriage house. So if person A is about to enter Mars' Antardasha, and person B is about to enter a Saturn period, both of them then would find themselves going through a common difficult time, which can have a negative impact on a relationship.

If you look at Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's chart, The source identified April 2028 through late November 2029 as a common difficult time for both of them. How did I arrive at that? In Meghan Markle's case, Jupiter-Mars begins around 12 April 2028 and Jupiter-Rahu around 19 March 2029. Mars in her chart is having an aspect in the marriage house, so there can be some tension there. And when Rahu is active, Ketu is active too. So her Mars and Rahu's chapter can create some tension in her personal life.

Prince Harry goes through Jupiter-Saturn from about 18 May 2027 until 28 November 2029, covering that shared window. And Saturn is in the house of marriage in the Navamsha chart. That is how the source identifies the common period. The visible tables and independent calculation reproduce the labels, not a guaranteed private event. So if a couple, for example, going through difficulties during that common difficult time, they know this is also going to come to an end. So that's the advantage of matching birth charts. This is a dated forecast, not proof.

The short marriage-timing method

Recap

So you might wonder what is the methodology on how to predict time of marriage. The methodology can be summarized here. You identify combinations for late marriage, which are largely going to be linked to Saturn, Mars, Rahu and Ketu. The source says such combinations may point toward marriage in the late twenties or thirties. A chart does not tell anyone to delay marriage or choose a partner on a timetable. And then you should identify the Antardasha of planets somehow linked to the marriage house.

So that's the short method of how to predict time of marriage. And then you can see if you have that as common. It is not deterministic advice.

Thank you for your time.
