Career change possibility in Vedic astrology

Start with the 10th-house ruler

Tenth house

Do you have combinations in your birth chart that could inspire you to follow a different career path from the one you are following now? Start with the 10th house.

Identify the ruler of the 10th house from the sign that falls there. For example, if the 10th house contains the eighth sign, Scorpio, the ruler of the 10th house is Mars. On Farfaraway, you can also press the Rulers button and look for the number 10 next to the planet that rules the 10th house.

Four houses linked to career change

Four houses

If the ruler of the 10th house falls in the 5th, 8th, 9th or 12th house, there is every chance of changing your line of work in this method.

The 8th and 12th houses are directly linked to change. The 5th house is the eighth house from the 10th, while the 9th house is the twelfth house from the 10th. That is why I also include the 5th and 9th houses.

Repeat the exercise in the divisional charts

Divisional charts

Do not restrict the analysis to the main chart. Repeat the same four-house exercise in the divisional charts. Across the main chart, Navamsha and Dashamsha, that gives 12 combinations to check.

Four additional checks

Sixteen

In addition to those combinations, I also take the planet identified as the 10th-house ruler and see where that same planet falls in the Navamsha and Dashamsha. If it is placed in the 8th or 12th house in either divisional chart, I would also treat that as a career-change combination.

That takes the exercise to 16 combinations in total.

Timing the change

Timing

You may currently work in IT but imagine a future as a yoga teacher, or you may want to become a lawyer after previously working as an engineer. First identify whether these combinations exist. The Dashamsha can then be used to determine when the change may take place.

Thank you for your time.
