Lord Yama has sovereignty over Bharani

He is the son of Sun and the grandson of Goddess Aditi. Lord Shani (Saturn) and Ashwini Kumaras are his brothers. He was the first mortal to ascend to the heavens and attain immortality. He has since shown the path to other mortals and so he’s rightly known as the king of ancestors. He is there to receive the recently deceased, who are brought to Yamalok, his palace. He, along with Chitragupta, the karmic accountant, then decides whether the soul would ascend to the heavens or descend to the hells. He’s known to carry a fetter made of iron to shackle the souls who have lived a life full of sins. The Vishnu Purana explains in great detail the grotesque existence of sinners in different hells. In one hell the arms and legs of the sinner are dismembered, in another, the sinners are poured into hot boiling water, and in another, the sinners are burnt. Such accounts are a reminder of the importance of being on the right side of the karmic scale. All such levels of hell are overseen by Lord Yama. Having witnessed such brutality, the native would have an innate awareness of evil and would not be overawed by crime, bloodshed or violence, which one might encounter as a homicide detective, for example. Once a soul reaps the rewards of good karma through a stay in heaven, or pays for bad karma through time served in hell, the soul is reborn on Earth. Lord Yama decides where the new birth would take place, who the native’s parents would be and what the native’s destiny would be. Lord Yama is given the title of Lord of the cosmic order or the Lord of justice (Dharamraj). To carry out such duties, Lord Yama has a huge team of Yamaduttas, which symbolizes Bharani native’s leadership skills to run a large-scale business. Yamalok, his palace, spreads over many thousands of miles. It has golden walls, all possible amenities, all kinds of delectable fruits and exotic flowers, thousands of entertainers and many seekers attending to his every need. This symbolises the native’s good fortune in living like a metaphorical king. Since the duty of judging a soul’s karmas falls upon Lord Yama, the native would be an excellent judge of right and wrong and would excel in the field of law.
